Privacy policy

We do not run analytics scripts or third-party advertising trackers. If you arrive from one of our ads, or from Facebook or Instagram, we note which ad it was so we can tell which ones work. If you create an account, we keep the details you give us so we can run it, and while you are signed in your browser holds two small cookies that keep you signed in. Your basket is stored in your own browser and never leaves it until you place an order.

One entry in your browser’s local storage, under the key rbs.cart.v1. It holds the items in your basket, their quantities, and whether you chose delivery or collection.

• It stays on the device you are using and is not synced between devices.
• It is not a cookie and is not sent to us automatically with page requests.
• Clearing your browser's site data for this site removes it, and empties your basket.

While you are signed in to an account, two cookies as well:

• rbs_session — the key that keeps you signed in. Scripts on the page cannot read it; it is only sent back to us with your requests.
• rbs_user — your name and the address of your profile picture, so the top of every page can greet you. It does not sign you in by itself.
• Both last seven days if you tick “Remember me” when logging in, or until you close your browser if you do not. Logging out removes them straight away.

Only if you arrive from one of our ads, or from a link on Facebook or Instagram, three more:

• rbs_attr_first and rbs_attr_last — the first and the most recent ad that brought you here: where it ran (Facebook, Instagram…), the campaign and ad names, and the page you landed on. They last 90 and 30 days.
• rbs_attr_sid — a random identifier, with nothing about you in it, that links those visits to an account if you later create one. It lasts a year.
• Scripts on the page cannot read any of the three. When you sign up, send a message or place an order, which ad it came from is saved with it, so we can see which ads lead to orders. None of this is shared with Meta or anyone else.

Creating an account sends us your first and last name, email address, mobile number and a password. We email a code to that address to confirm it is yours. From your account page you can change your name and mobile number; your email address cannot be changed.

• Your password goes to our account system to be checked or stored, and nowhere else. This website never keeps it — not in your browser, not in its own logs.
• If you reset your password, we email a code to your address. The reset page answers the same way whether or not an account exists, so it cannot be used to find out who shops here.

The contact form on this site is not connected to anything yet — there is no inbox behind it. Nothing you type into it is transmitted or stored, and it tells you so when you submit it.

If you message us on WhatsApp, call, or email info.rbsstationery@gmail.com, we keep that correspondence so we can answer you.

Online ordering is not live yet. When it is, we will need your name, delivery address, phone number and email address to fulfil and deliver an order, and we will update this page to say who processes payments and what they receive before that happens. We do not hold card details today and have no means of taking them.

• Google Maps — the contact page embeds a map. It only loads when you scroll to it, and when it does, Google receives your IP address and may set its own storage. That is the only third-party embed on this site.
• WhatsApp and social links — following one takes you to that company’s own service, under its own privacy policy. We are not told that you clicked.
• Our hosting provider — like any website, requests reach a server, which keeps ordinary technical logs.

Typefaces are served from this site itself rather than fetched from Google at page load, so viewing a page makes no request to a font service.

Because we hold so little, most requests are quick to answer. Ask us what we have about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete your account, and we will. You can see and correct your name and mobile number yourself on your account page. For the basket, you do not need us at all — clearing this site’s data in your own browser removes it entirely.
